The Eye of Horus
The Eye of Horus: Signifying awakening and pure awareness, higher-consciousness, godhead, or God-consciousness. Symbolic of the third eye chakra and the pituitary gland, which many think are one and the same. The Pituitary gland is the place where DMT (sometimes called the spirit molecule) is produced. It induces our dreams when we sleep, it is released during birth, and also during death, so it would make sense that the third eye is a portal between the realms of life and death, and hence why it is an eye, the organ of sight. All the mystics of ages long-past have learned to tap into and see through this extra sense that we have. Call it Christ-consciousness, or Buddha-consciousness, or Horus-consciousness etc.
In short, it means ultimate awareness, the burning away of all illusions; illusions of pain, glory, failure, status, jealousy, loss, all of these illusions burned away, until your consciousness is clear like crystal or the waters of the coral reef islands and their prized white sand. Let your mind emanate white light, and you will then see it reflected back to you. Maya means veil, and to lift away the Maya is to see reality and ourselves as we truly are, infinite. Namaste.
